Year 6

Together we maintain a safe, clean and stimulating environment within which we can learn and live in harmony. We aim to promote sustainability and an awareness of wider global issues through our connected curriculum.

A warm welcome to year 6 - an important year for all the children. As staff, we will support all children in their learning to achieve their potential and value any additional support you can give!

Here's to a great final year at Longwood.

If you have any questions about your child's time in Y6 please don't hesitate to contact Mr McNamee.

We have included links below to give an overview or provide any useful information about our learning in this year.
SATs Results

To say I am a very proud teacher right now would be putting it lightly. Congratulations to Year 6 for your amazing results and thank you to all the staff and parents who have supported the children during the course of their journey through primary school. Smiles all around!

Year 6 SATs:

SATs are fast approaching (Monday  14th May 2018  until Thursday  17th May 2018)  and I would like to point you towards certain sites that can be used to help your children practice: l
A site that splits SATs questions into different areas.
A site that can be used to plan revision.
All previous SATs papers to print and use. Lots of help.
A great site for all school topics.
Fun ideas

I hope these will help.

Year 5 and 6 Celebration of Music

A huge thank you to all that came to support the children at our concert. There was so much talent on display: singers, drummers and guitarists - not a single person left the hall without a smile on their face. Well done year 5 and 6!

Sports Relief

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our basketball tournament and Skipathon. We had a great time raising money and taking part in sports we do not usually play. Some great teamwork and sportsmanship show by all. Well done!

Summer time has arrived....

We kicked off this half term with a trip to Keddlestone Hall. We enjoyed the weather, marevelled at the scenery and are learning to really appreciate nature and our surroundings.
