School Dinners

Longwood Primary School provide catering in house with the aim of improving and developing our school meals. We want to be able to serve the healthiest, tastiest and best value hot-meal service possible for our children.

The catering staff are part of our whole school team and they work incredibly hard alongside CMC, our Catering consultants. We have theme days, taster days and other offers and promotions so please keep a look out on our school newsletter for news.

We are currently working with CMC to produce an exciting new menu which we will launch after Easter. If you have anything you would like to see on our menu please let us know! The pupils have already given us a number of interesting ideas!

Please remember that all Children in Reception and Years 1&2 are currently entitled to a free school meal.

Parents can order their children's meals through the Pupil Asset App for up to two weeks in advance. This not only ensures that your child receives the meal they want but also reduces waste in the school kitchen making sure we can keep our school meal prices as low as possible. The cost of a school meal is currently only £2.20 for a main meal and a desert.

If you feel that you are entitled to free school meals then we urge you to register (even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2). Please register with the school office to ensure that we continue to receive the pupil premium to support our school and your children.

Your child may be entitled to free school meals if you receive:

  • Income Support.
  • Income Related Employment & Support Allowance.
  • Child Tax Credit.

For an instant answer on whether you are entitled to free school meals applications can now be made online at: www.staffordshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals
